June Favourites

Hey Sophisticates ,

Can you believe we are on the last day of June already? I know I can't. Feels like Christmas was last week, it's crazy!

I have been testing and trialling so many products over the last few months and many have really caught my eye. I love reading posts like these so I want to share with you my most used and loved products during the month of June.

Nivea Daily Essentials Double Effect Eye Make-up Remover -

Long winded name huh? But there is nothing long winded about this product. As you know, I wear a hell of a lot of eye makeup often giving me a look of panda eyes in the morning (never a good look). This however has seemed to put a stop to that! Most eye makeup removers I have used previously have left a very oily residue. Yet Nivea's has a two phase formula of both oil and aqua. The oil works first in removing even the toughest of waterproof mascara while the aqueous phase removes the oily residue. The two phases are visible from the outside of the bottle split between blue and clear - it's fun to shake it up and watch them blend!  I am a contact lense wearer and it is not often you find a product that is safe for us blind bats! I have repurchases this twice already and will definitely be again!

Phil Smith Argan Oil Hair Transforming Cream -

I am known as an avid believer of Argan oil and have been using the pure stuff that I picked up from Morrocco (hardcore) for nearly a year now. My little pot is looking pretty empty now, so I have had to go on a search for another Argan oil product that will do my terrible ends justice! I had a blonde phase last year which involved a lot of bleach leaving my hair quite dry and in constant need of moister and revitalisation. This product is absolutely perfect for me and has really transformed my hair. I use it in 2 ways, for an intense treatment I will apply to the ends of my hair overnight and wash in the morning. But for day to day use I apply sparingly to from the mid-lengths to the ends of damp hair and continue to blow dry as normal.

MUA Pro-base Fixing Mist -

I had been looking for a high street/drug store fixing spray for a long time until I came across this little number! I am a great fan of MUA's affordable range so I was drawn to this immediately. I didn't have great hopes for it, but for the price I thought I would give it a go. Except for the sticky residue and drying time of this product I have nothing negative to say. My foundation doesn't budge and it is a great alternative to the higher end fixing sprays out there.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir -

Again, this is another product I have been using for quite a while. But with the hot weather coming in (hopefully) my beauty elixir is the first thing I reach for. They recommend that you spray this onto your face prior to moisturising but I find myself using this throughout the day to refresh my face. The 30ml bottle is also perfect size to fit in to your handbag - perfect for a night out in a sweaty nightclub. It has a strong scent of mint which I find refreshing but I can understand why this would put some people off.

Real Techniques Blush Brush -

I am a right make up brush snob and always seem to find myself going back to the same old brand. However after buying the Real Techniques expert face brush following a recommendation I have been completely swayed! I decided to go ahead and get the blush brush. It is the perfect size and the bristles are lovely and soft making it a hit with me! I love how the brush is slightly shaped with a point at the end making it the perfect shaped tool for contouring.

June has been such a great month cosmetic wise and I can't wait to try out a few more during July! Let me know your favourite products of June!

  5. I might have to try this Nivea makeup remover out. The one I have been using definitely leaves me some badass panda eyes in the morning but it's definitely a step I want to skip. Love the favourites :)
